£7000 to Deposit

I am posting this for my mum who has £7000 in her current account. Can anybody suggest where she should deposit her money to give her the best return.

Does your mum have an ISA? If not then I'd suggest £3K on the £7K went into an ISA account. Does she need instant access? Or could she tie it up for a while? I suggest you take a look At Martins savings tips here for best rates etc.
