Help with dental tratment and IB

I am on long term IB and was wondering can I claim help with dental and optical treatments?

To the best of my knowledge, IB alone does not give you any free medical, dental or optical items. You have to be in receipt of a means tested benefit (or on WTC with a taxable income below £15,??? - and I know this last one gets issued automatically as I was pleasantly shocked to receive one in the post in June 2007!)

How do you manage to be on IB and work part time?

I am 33 live with parents and work part time and if all else fails does anyone know a very rich man with a bad cough!!!???

On IB you can work part time and earn up to 88 ish a week for 52 weeks. Its to help get long term sick back to work fully. You can also earn 20 a week indefinetely.

OK, thanks. I just wondered as it was less than a month ago that the OP posted that she was "thinking about doing permitted work".
