Bunch of d|ck heads,
You think your little words of criticism bother me in any way? You are severely miss-guided.NID victorious in not answering the question. Where is the proof of a bank forcing a loan on anyone?
I'm not talking making them an offer of money, or tempting them, I'm asking for proof.
Show me the proof please, show me a person forced into borrowing money.
You's have went from several questions now down to one!
Lets face it. People have various situations were principle is the same they are 'forced' to take a loan. Some for example having to do this or they could, I don’t know avoid bankrupt of their business. Just one example (may not be the best) but the principle is the same. Some people feel forced or feel like they are forced into signing a loan deal when they really don’t want to. What their reasons for this may differ but still the same thing just like payment protection schemes.0 -

I can show you proof.... a certain bank told me I was now unable to pay off my long standing overdraft as my account had been closed, and that my ONLY option was to take a loan....No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

The key point here is the use of the word 'feel'. No one has a gun to their heads forcing them to sign. People need to take responsibility for their actions. No one is forced to borrow, it is a choice.
Some people are 'forced' depending on their circumstances. Although yes I dare say no one has had a gun to their head (that I know of).0 -
No it was not. You could of defaulted, talked to a debt charity or come to a payment arrangement.
the BANK told me a LOAN was my only option. No arrangements to pay
Yes, I could have defaulted, but there are consequences of that.
I could have spoken to CCCS, CAB et al but as stated above, no arrangements, your account is closed, the ONLY option is a loan.No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

I've kept out of this rather childish game of point scoring, but must take exception at that so called proof............the example you give is simply moving money you have already spent - not forcing more money onto you.0 -

True, but I could have still paid money to my account rather than be forced into the loan. The laon was actually at a higher interest rate than the unauthorised overdraft rate on the account. No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.
