Tax credits aren't interested in your outgoings (other than child care which you don't have). All they're interested in is your age, the number of hours you work, and your gross taxable income for last tax year.

As Cheryl says they are not interested in your In/outgoings.

You should always reply to CTC as they don't forget or go away. As you didn't reply to earlier letters you have very little chance of proving you haven't intentially given incorrect info and will probably have to repay and may have a penalty.Think of the reason you didn't reply so that you can use that as a defence, then write to them and try to mitigate by explaining how and why you let this slip. Do you have a receipt for your p60 letter? I have to say if I had sent my p60 I would have been chasing for it to be returned,as it is an imortant document and cannot be replaced (you can only get a statement from your tax office in replacement of the info.)
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

    Tell me about chasing a P60 -- it's a mammoth job in itself !!!!

EMA have had mine since 3rd September, and have told me it will take "about 4 weeks" to return once they've sent my son his contract..... and that's not arrived yet !! Have already chased the contract twice, and will be doing so again next Monday/Tuesday !!!!!
