Mobile phone memory problem

I have put some music on a memory card for someone and tried putting it in his phone???
It doesnt appear to want to read it but it does work in my phone???
It asks to format and if you click yes it says error and if you click no it just stays on the same menu???

Do i maybe have to do something with his phone, its a samsung think its a d600????

Comments

  • What Format are the music files in MP3/AAC/MIDI ?

The D600 should be able to play all the above formats.

Have you tried the card in any other phone ?
  • Yeah tried it in another phone and works, its mp3, i am thinking the phone is not expandable to 2 gb??????

Different makes of phones use a different directory structure / different "folders" to store music file etc. Maybe the other phones (what make and model are they?) are putting them somewhere where the Samsung won't automatically "look." In which case you'll have to kind of "browse" for the music in the Samsung. Somehow.

A bit of a hand-waving explaination, but hopefully you follow what I mean.

It's a bug in the phone. My mate has a Samsung D600 and it does exactly the same. Format the card, it says it's formatted it. Then when you put it in the phone it says it's not formatted even though it is and perfectly OK. You can even format it in the Samsung, put files on it and then it'll just decide it's not formatted all on its own, even though you can take it out and read it in another device.
