Hello. Hope I don't sound like a complete duffer but I know nothing about TVs (only just bought one after many years without one). If I got a Sky+ box could I also record other channels (freeview) progs on it or is it just restricted to Sky progs?

you can record absolutely anything
, dependant on your subscription of course Currently in a Protected Trust Deed - 17 payments until DEBT FREE - February 20270 -
You can record any channel your subscription provides which includes all the freeview channels although you can't just buy the box, you will need to subscribe to a package.0

Thanks for the replies. I should've said that I'd be subscribing of course! So is it best to have one of these or is it better to have a seperate hard drive recorder?0

Sky plus is much better than having a separate hard drive recorder, series link is excellent !
Make sure you get someone to introduce you so you get the Sky+ box for free.0 -

Not quite correct. Freeview comes via your aerial and SKY+ can only record from the dish via the SKY+ box.
Think you probably mean Freesat from SKY.0 -

No I didn't mean Freesat, I meant any subscription you buy from sky will include most of the freeview channels0 -
You can only record depending on subscription but you can get freesat (sky) if you want to cancel I believe there is a fee for that
I know once you cancel on your record are void they wont work, nice of sky to do this0
