Can i watch Sky in another room (without getting multi room or putting a new lead in)

hi, i think they will work for most things - sky, virgin, dvd etc and I use mine for Tiscali TV.
But I have had no luck with the IR sender bit. Has anyone else had luck?0 -
Sorry for hi-jacking this thread but it has got me thinking. The box from Amazon is approximately £19 and I was offered a Sky+ box for £49, £30 more. Could I keep my ordinary Sky box, put it in the bedroom, and get the new Sky+ box and put it in the main room? If yes, would I need another Sky card or cables?

Not sure if your question as been answered properly. If you order Sky+ through Sky they send you a new card. You pay £60 for installtion unless you ask them to lower this. The engineer will install the Sky + using your old card and put the old box wherever you require but it must be connected to the telephone line and a cable from the dish.
And you won't require multiroom
