Help trying to get a payment off customer

Options
A company we deal with owes us a few hundred pounds, the mother and father of the company, have moved abroad and there son and daughter were left to run it, anyway the son and daughter had had enough of bad staff etc and sold the customer base(not the debts). i have spoken to there parents who are abroad, and they tell me that there daughter is saying she dropped cheque in work(but she hasnt) they were going to ask her where it was, but all of a sudden all there mobiles are dead and i cant get in touch with them.
I have found where the daughter lives and want to know if i can send a solictors letter to that address, we have a company we use who do 7 days or else letter

Surely the company you use must know, or else why would they be in the trade?

Who were the owners of the company, all the family? I'd send a letter anyway, sometimes that in itself will generate payment. If you have sent invoices and reminders etc, you may want to threaten a CCJ which could lead to enforcement of the debt by charging order etc.
My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.
  • You need to send a 7 day notice letter to the reg office or office.

I would then send one to the last correspondence address (daughters) as well.

Let them know that if payment isn't received within 7 days you will be taking further action

Don't forget your can also claim interest on B2B debts.
  • We need more info...

Is it a Ltd company? Sole traders? Partnership? As depending on who exactly it is your dealing with will help when it comes to getting your money back...
