Chinese banking giant Bank of China is looking at a potential bid for UK lender HBOS, BBC business editor Robert Peston has reported.
Bank of China, the giant Chinese bank, is the mystery bank that Jim Spowart and European American Capital hope will make an offer for HBOS to stymie the takeover bid from Lloyds TSB.

....and they have all the money we gave, including mine, to buy cheap electronics goods.....mostly because our own goods were too expensive in comparison.......but then they would be (our goods more expensive that is),....cos they dont have national insurance, no uniform business rates......no health and safety breathing down their necks......Would'nt be surprised with the pound being so low.....Illegitimi non carborundum

Thay have alot more debt than the other banks and they can't refinance it. Their share price doesn't lie.0

Concerned about what about a bank in China?
China has more reserves than Briton and most certainly can support anything its banks want to do.
I think you should be more concerned with Santander and the falling Spanish housing market than of Bank of China.
As for the Red China part..... Not like it isnt Red Gordon at the minute.....!0
