Co-Operative Bank Using Mental Stress Techniques

I found out this morning the Co-Op bank have completely messed up my account and admitted the same this morning. They are showing my account in arrears when it isn't at all and will be sending me a letter of apology.
Since the week end the Co-Op have been constantly bombarding me with phone calls throughout the day starting first thing in the morning and well into the evening. So much so I have been making lots of mistakes in my work today as my mind is very stressed out as I keep hearing the constant ringing in my head. (I work from home). All the calls are automated and are quite sinister.
I was tempted to unplug the phone during the day but then I would have missed some very important work phone calls.
Co-Op have told me twice today when I complained to them that there is nothing they can do about these calls until the system updates itself at midnight and they do it to people who don't/won't pay.
I am alarmed that they are using this kind of mental stress technique on people and would like to report it but don't know who to. Does anyone else know?
I have now unplugged the phone and will have an early night with two paracetamol for a bad headache I now have!
Thanks.

They are coming from an automatic dialling system which the staff calling have little control over, it just flashes the account details on their screen as soon as you answer so they have no time to see that you have already called.

The claim that they cannot remove your number from the dialling system is not true and you should pursue this further with a team manager. it can be done as I used to work on one of these systems and it just meant they had to stop the job they are running, delete your number and re-start the job.

Firstly complain to their customer relations department, if the complaint is not resolved then you will have to take it further to the FOS. I had to do this when I was getting calls like this from Hlfx, I complained to them first of all and they didn't stop so I complained to the FOS and the calls stopped.

Hope that this gets sorted out for you. Always ask for a manager and if you can, insist on holding for one to become available. usually they are available they just don't want to be disturbed or get up from their desk to take the call and think they can fob you off with the promise of a call back.
