Villa's around the Med

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a Villa somewhere around the Med (preferably somewhere close to cheap airports :-))

Needs to be walking distance into a town of some sort for eats and with a private pool. Also needs to sleep 7, preferably with 4 bedrooms.

Can anyone recommend a site to look at or even better, a villa!

What time of year are you looking at? There are lots of sites where owners advertise their villa's for private rental & we do this every year. try some of these

Faro can be cheap to fly to at certain times but the villas tend to be a bit pricey, especially the Vilamoura, Vale de Lobo area. Malaga, Alicante or Gerona can also be quite cheap as well but beware that "cheap" sometimes has hidden extras like no baggage allowance included. Maybe worth looking at some of the Italian routes.

Basically we just want somewhere warm, that's reasonably priced. The Villas we've found in Italy so far have been fairly pricey (although Italy is ace!).

We'll have a hunt through those websites.

Hi at the moment if you book with style villas (part of the thomas cook group) they are doing a thing called may madness which is giving a £100 per adult off the price if you book to go in may. So if any of the party are children book them as adults then you all get £100 off, i dont know all the offers but malta was £700 for 4 and kefalonia was £650 for 4. If you go to the travel agents and get a price you may get a further discount if you ask and if you get a thomas cook credit card from them you earn 2% in points which you can then use to buy your foreign currency, oh and also 3 months interest free credit. Hope this helps.

Hello,

I've put down a few reputable sites below. Some of them specialise in particular countries while others service the whole Med. Sometimes it's best to look at the smaller specialist ones for the best prices as they may have some villas on offer that the others wouldn't be aware of etc but have a look :-)

And if you think of changing direction, somewhere like Marrakech offers fantastic villas that are quite luxurious with pools etc for an excellent price. Or better yet, if you're interested to go the long haul route, somewhere like Dubai could be a very cost effective option?

You need to bear in mind if booking direct that the £ v € rate is varying considerably at the moment so you'll need to budget for the worst case of £1 = €1.

Looking to rent a 3/4 bedroom villa in Greece for a month this summer sort of end of June mid-July ish either on the mainland or island that is reasonably accessible.
