We need to build a bloody big nuclear reacter in your back yard Parisien;)

    That'll solve all our problems:rotfl:

We unfortunately are so dependant on Oil, Gas and Coal fired Power plants in good old NI:eek:

But NIE are taking the !!!! aswell, unfortunately we have no alternative:o

Get solar pannels on our roofs and stick a bloody big windmill in our backyards to cover our own usage and of course sell any extra power to NIE:T:T:T
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

No probs...think of the 10,000 construction workers who need a job!!!!

I think there are 60/70 nuclear power stations in France, no one is more than 80 miles from any of them!

Trying to think of last time the French left/right/greens had a self righteous protest aginst same...........lol........cant!!!!!

French technology...the only one to go with....:)
  • HI there everybody

I moved onto NIE Powershift and have found it to be great. I set timers for dishwasher and washing machine overnight when it is cheaper and because I work out during the day - washing goes on line if dry!!!!!!! and dishwasher is good to go after breakfast.......

    Does anybody else use this?

I'm on NIE's Eco Energy Tariff, absoultely the same price as their normal tariff but Eco Energy is NIE Energy's alternative source of green electricity and for every unit of electricity you use in your home NIE buy's an equivalent amount of power from a local 'renewable' supplier such as a wind farm.

It's absolutely free to sign up http://www.nie-yourenergy.co.uk/eco.php and you get your bill on eco-energy branded paper WOW!

I signed up to this about a year ago but it got me thinking, What would happen if everyone in NI signed up to the Eco Tariff, obviously they couldnt do it, wouldn't think they would shut down all the powerstations and open wind farms everywhere. So when I think about it I think its just a PR stunt for them to look good. I know you get the free energy check (I didnt use mine) but apart from that its no difference.

Are they just making this up as they go along???
It's a great day for singing a song / It's a great day for moving along / It's a great day for morning to night / It's a great day for everybody's plight.
