I want to make a Goan Prawn Curry, but using frozen prawns instead of fresh tiger prawns (see Try Me Free thread!!).
Any problems with that?

If they are frozen cooked prawns then you will just have to make sure you don't overcook them or they will go rubbery.0

Sounds nice - would you be kind enough to share the recipe please?

Thanks, C xx0 -
I use frozen prawns in curries - never tried a Goan one though - sounds nice. Often they're coated in a water glaze - I rinse them in boiling water to get rid of this and put them in at the last minute just to warm through0

Here you go. This is for one, so adjust accordingly. Very nice.
Ingredients
1tbsp sunflower oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
0.5in piece of fresh root ginger, peeled and grated
2 garlic cloves, crushed
0.5tsp ground cumin
1tsp ground coriander
0.5tsp turmeric
25g/1oz creamed coconut
1 green chilli, deseeded and thinly sliced lengthways
150g whole tiger prawns
2tbsp chopped fresh coriander
Heat the oil in a large frying pan and gently cook the onion for 3 to 4 minutes until soft, then add ginger and garlic and cook for another minute. Stir in the remaining spices and cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes.
Stir in the coconut, 125ml water and the chilli and simmer gently until the coconut has dissolved. Add the prawns and stir in half the coriander. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, then remove from the heat. Scatter with remaining coriander and serve with plain steamed rice.Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0
