Set Cyberhome CH-DVD400 to multi-region

I've just bought this tiny dvd player from Amazon.
Amazon states that it is multi-region capable but when I try the two hacks that are featured on their website I get no joy.

I am not a complete technophobe and my wife is certainly not but we have both tried the hacks on several occasions last night without any success
( the second one, which requires the menu/pcb button to be pressed does not do anything ).

It plays dvds from region 2 fine but when I try a region 3 for example after the 'Loading' message the message 'Wrong Region' appears.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Found this on the net:

turn on tv and dvd, press open on remote, then press set up. main menu will appear. press 1,3,6,9 on remote, nothing will happen yet. press left arrow on remote 3x. press right arrow 1x. a new option -version will appear press enter.go to region code.use the arrow keys to highlight the code no then use up and down to change to region 0 for multi region. exit menus and bobsyamovasbruva. this cheat works on CH-DVD402 ALSO. Thanks,

Tried what you suggested but still does not work - pressing left 3 times simply toggles me across the main menu headings, going 1 right takes me the other way - no new options appear.

I've been in touch with Cyberhome themselves and they will not help - only to say the codes are out there.

    Cheers

Can I than you both very much for your help.
Thanks to your help it now plays multi-region dvds.
We got much closer to the player this time and that was when we saw
a very feint option that we could not see before and so I was shouting out the instructions whilst at the pc whilst my wife did the necessary.
    Thanks once again

very strange......I've just had of these delivered from Amazon (looks fab - so tiny!), and did the hack, but it wouldn't bring up the new option after doing the arrows bit of thehack. Anyway, decided to stick some DVD's in out of curiosity, and it plays both a region 2 disc and also a region 0 , and also Now That's What I Call a Music Quiz I've just bought, which doesn't seem to have a region on it other than 'All regions:PAL' (?) .......has the hack already been done????????
