Billing Time Limit
I guess I am maybe clutching at atraws here, but I left a flat which was powered by NPower for electricity on the 25th June, despite me giving them the meter reading the next day they have only just issued the final bill, dated 5th November.
Is that normal to wait so long? Is there any requirement for them to bill me within a certain time frame or are they allowed to bill me whenever they wanted, i.e. 4 month later?
I have budgetted until Feb 2009 and am not sure I can afford to pay it at the moment.

They have to bill you within 12 months.
Look on the bright side - you've managed to get 4 months interest free credit from them"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
You may find that they have waited for the new occupant to be registered before they produce you 'move out' bill otherwise we could all say "I'm moving out tomorrow please send my final bill to" and never move.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
