That's what I do. But for oil replacement you need at least two normally unavailable things: two-post lift and a dirty bucker for old oil.
And where do you dispose an old oil by the way?
I cheat, 2 wheels on the kerb, 2 on ramps, lots or clearance. my old oil gets dropped into a double black bag inside a washing up bowl, then disposed of correctly at the local tip

  • Do you have a National Tyres depot nearby, they do free checks, see

Well I don't have problems as my one of my friends is a mechanic and has his own garage thus I use his set set of ramps. You don't need anything special for the drained oil, but he has the proper container for disposing the oil.

I even get discount on the parts as he buys them for me.:D

But like I said find a local mechanic who may just do what you want instead of going for a service plan and charging you more.

National Tyres are about the cheapest for an oil change, much cheaper than doing it yourself and you keep your hands clean :)

Book online and get an extra 10% off prices

  • that looks a very good price @ national (cheaper than oil and filter diy), wonder how much extra they'd charge for an extra 3ltrs or so?

Chicken feed, my old tractor used to take 20+ in the engine and 113 in the back axle/hydraulic system.

    Happy days, :j
