TV been written off -replacement???

Hi
We bought a 32inch lcd tv 3 years ago and had extended warranty.
We've been told that they can't repair the tv and the Insurance company replacements department will be in touch shortly to organise replacement.

What am I likely to get will they give me money or send a new tv? is there room for negotiation or am I stuck with whatever they offer?

Thanks in advance

Read your policy, when this happened with our freezer, they phoned through with a model number we could have (had to pay postage, about £30 ). I could have had an alternative but would have to pay the extra cost, this was not the difference in price of goods on the shop floor but the price according to what they could get the goods for if that makes sense?

What do the terms of the policy say? Its likely to be the same model or one which is equivalent. You will probably then have an argument as to amounts to equivalent.

If the same make and model is available (highly unlikely), they will replace it with likewise, else, (as is likely), the next equivalent to the model or value you originally had.
