how do i trace old unit trust certs

dad died last month now going over all his papers, got some old unit truct certs for lloyds bank dating from 1974
is there any way to trace these or find if he had any over unit trusts or shares
there appears to be lots of papers missing as i believe he had a few bank accounts but i can find only 1 now

All Lloyds Tsb unit trusts are dealt with by Scottish Widows in Edinburgh (sorry not have exact address and telephone number). They should be your first port of call and will be able to advise you if the holding is current and its value.0
