It is widely reported about 50% of the emails were blocked as spam across numerous ISP email services not because those spam filtering services were deficient in their construction but because the email house used for this email

Why not? Where else is there going to be any readily available source of information?0 -
Because 'all these people' on MSE making the claim about hearfrom are presumably getting their information from somewhere, or, cynically, perhaps they are all repeating some rumour someone posted in another thread, in which case it can't be true.
I'd rather read first hand reports from a reputable source, rather than chinese rumours posted on here.Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Read receipts are extremely unreliable. They are processed as extension options by the recipient mail client, so it's trivial to stop them being sent. Many corporate mail systems automatically strip the receipt option from the mail header before delivering it to the recipient.
Not only that but the recipient has the option whether to acknowledge having read the email too. If you click "no" or "cancel" then the sender has no idea whether their email has been read or not

Widely reported where? I've never heard such reports!
Even my small unofficial poll that I conducted last week put the results at around a third of people having issues with the email being treated as spam therefore twice as many people received the email without a problem. Not sure where you get 50% from.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

And those people who reported an issue didn't say they didn't get the email they just indicated it was caught by their spam filter. In most cases it was probably not blocked, it could have just been routed to their bulk or junk folder.
That's what those folders are there for, no spam filter is 100% and the quality/accuracy is down to you or your ISPs efforts to keep it up to date. If you don't get an email but thousands of people do, the problem is not with the sender.

I did not get a read receit after sending a blank email in answer to the 1st email, and I am also confusedyes but did you actually get the read reciept as opposed to the email with content?
Also did you get a read receipt when you replied with your blank email to their 1st email? I have that facility on mine and did not get the actual read receipt
