Hi
Does anyone know what to do when you've bought (and not for the first time:mad: ) items that are out of date, yet still charged at full price?
For the third time, i've bought items at the local Co-op that are a few days past the sell by date and taste horrid.
i haven't got the reciept as they never gave me one....again:mad:
i could kick myself and won't be shopping there again..but who do i complain to?
Thanks

You could always try Tesco, they get blamed for everything :rotfl: :rotfl:who do i complain to?Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
I always check the sell by dates before I buy something - and make sure I get a receipt.
Then if there's a problem and within date you can return it to the store for a refund/replacement.
I would have learnt the lesson after the second time - but three times??0 -
I knew there was a reason why i never posted on this board..and you two have just reminded me of it. Silly me, thought i was perfect, but, unlike you, i'm not.
Thanks for you help...not!
I've found the help i really needed, elsewhere and won't bother you again.
Now i see why people leave here.Veni, Vidi, Visa. I came, I saw, I shopped:rolleyes:0 -

Well i would just like go there in a MASSIVE strop and just get them to do something. I would check the rest of there stuff to! and point it out.
Except for that, just be wise a bit and check the date :j0 -

Once is unfortunate.
Twice is unlucky,
Third time is careless.
You should ALWAYS check the date on anything you buy, and if it's a "sell by" date, then you've often got quite a long time period after this date that you can eat it - the date is just a guideline.
It's been proved that sell by dates have a psychosomatic effect i.e. some people THINK they taste funny when they actually taste fine, just because it's past its sell by date.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Do not eat it. it has clearly gone past the sell by date. Put on a pair of rubber gloves, and place the offending food onto the fire. then throw gloves on to fire. The book yourself into the casulaty department and explain that you accidently touched a packet of out of date food material.
Oh, do not forget to get the ambulance chasers involved for the trauma you had to go through.0
