Bonds now closed BUT what if you have 'applied' already?

As soon as I heard of the interest rate cut, I called National Counties and Julian Hodge and they both sent me forms for their fixed rate bonds (one year, monthly interest). I sent them off yesterday with cheques but they both now seem to have withdrawn them. Will they accept my funds? Does simply asking for forms mean you've made an application already? I guess I'll ring them tomorrow to find out but just wondered if others have had similar issues and whether the banks give you time to fund your account after you've received the forms?

With the National Counties 6.3% bond, cheques must reach them by close of business Monday.

Not very useful for you now but why didn't you download the form from their (Julian Hodge) website? It would have enabled you to send straight away without waiting for the post
I sent one off last Thursday for them to hopefully receive Friday which was the day I think the offer was withdrawn. I've actually e-mailed them to enquire about my application and hoping for the best.
I doubt you'll be lucky, but yes give them a call, they might say yes?
