Has she got permission to spray stuff hither and thither? I doubt it, speak to your manager asap
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
  • I would speak to your occupational health health and saftey person at work. If your company is aware of your allergies then as soon as they become aware of the offending spray being used then they are legally responsible for doing everything they reasonably can to prevent your health being damaged.

I would be polite, but firm in the first instance (but you could jokily point out that the company would be liable if you had an asthma attack at work and died, you'd be amazed how effective this argument can be if you say it to a senior manager, you can also remind them there is now a crime of corprate manslaugter and they could be responsible).

Finally if you don't have any luck, contact your union.

I used to work at a healthcare company and latex was banned on site in case anyone developed a sensetivity to it and died of anaphilaxis, (not even marigolds!)
  • You must be firm but polite with your line managers and anyone else who will listen at work. They have a duty of care to give you a safe working environment.
