  • i don't think selling your OWN things on ebay and not declaring them is stealing, 1 they are your own things to sell, if it was so wrong ebay wouldn't be legal, and if you sold a car or something or similar would you declare it?

Surely claiming for benefits stops you from earning extra income through other avenues such as ebay etc.

I take it you are declaring all your additional income to the relevent people?
You can sell your own personal items without having to declare it.

Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!

  • Following on from the real work at home thread started in
Sept 07, which has been very popular and gained allot of people
a new homeworking job (inc me), for those who don't know that job
    is broadband technical support.

Teletech have just started to recruit for a inbound sales
job which offers the same homeworking benefits but is ideal
for those who enjoy sales type roles more and would be suited
better in this role than tech support

Here are some details on the Role:

    Description of position:

Associates will handle inbound calls from existing customers requesting broadband service. Associates will be responsible for closing these calls and also attaching digital phone services.

Pay 6.0 per hour plus commission

    Hours of operation
    M-F 4:30pm – 11:00pm
    Sat and Sun 9:30am -6:00pm

Shifts 19-22 hours per week and will include Saturday and Sunday
Training Starts 4/14/08 and will be 32.5 hours per week for 3 weeks. There will be several training classes so the candidate must be available Monday- Friday 4:30 to 11:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 – 3:00pm.

Interested applicants can go to www.hirepoint.com/athome and apply to job 006ZB,

Good luck to those who are going to apply
and feel free to ask any questions, also this is a good place for people to share there experiences with the recruitment process

    Hiya guys,

Having passed the online assessments last week, I had my telephone interview with a Teletech recruiter yesterday.

She called me back a couple of hours later, to let me know I had the job!

I now have to print off / complete / fax off the 'Background Check' form..and this has made my heart sink

Do any of you know just how thorough this check is?

I have a Police Caution from April 2004, but as it's a 'Caution' and the form only asks about 'Unspent Convictions', I can legally tick the 'No' box can't I?

Also, my other concern is that in the small print at the bottom of the Experian Background Check form, they say, that they'll do a Credit Check too *sigh*

I still have 2 Satisfied Defaults (dropping off next Feb), 1 Satisfied CCJ (not dropping of for another 4 years yet), and 1 Discharged Bankruptcy (dropping off in January '09)

I'm so worried that because of this, once they do the check, and it all shows up on my Experian file (which it's bound to, as I've seen it on my credit file online with Experian), Teletech will then withdraw my job offer

One final worry is regarding the references. My last employer of many years was my Dad (which I told her during the interview). Can I put him down as a referee? Also, how do they contact them for a reference? By email / phone / letter?

Have any of you had similar concerns / know how in - depth their checks / references are?

    I really need this job!

Any advice would be most appreciated.

    Many Thanks,

    Leigh.

  • Hi there,

I think for instant money you should try some online business like filling surveys and forms. I am not clear if they pay or not some may be geniuene too. This you can search it on net. And if you want to have riskless income them i think you should try some out of house job like car washing or pizza delivery. This will surely make you earn some money.

    Hope my information helps you.

    Regards
