Ok what's a binbag dance? Do I need to stick holes in it, wear it and then dance around the house?

Thanks Pigpen... will be back in from tomorrow evening (probably ;) )

Johanne's somewhat stressed - thought you might be the one to point her in the direction of some therapy? Mentioned it earlier today on last weeks thread.

I'm in this week, hopefully it will be a better week with fewer workmen. Just got one coming in the morning to quote for blinds and then the Asda shopping on Tuesday.

I would say you need to check spellings and enquire about possible name changes. We had a Hesther who became Esther, and surname Gerry changed to Terry during 1st World War. Surely the DOB was on Marriage Cert?

Thanks, but my dad and aunty both went to her funeral (in fact, I think my aunty organised it!) and told me the month and year it was (1967), yet it still doesn't appear in the records I have searched online. I've tried her married and maiden name. The marriage certificate gives her age at that time so I know roughly when she was born, though my dad is unsure of her birthday. I just wondered if there are some other records I can search

:rotfl: I can safely say I don't actually think I have enough rubbish around the house to fill a binbag :j Although saying that I haven't been into the children's rooms lately ;)

Being a punk was before my time, well late 70s/early 80s I was under 10...but I do remember my aunty appearing with lots of make-up on and shaved sides of her head and I thought she looked like a clown :rotfl:

Froddy - you could work backwards then - start with the obituaries in the local paper - they have them on microfiche in local libraries. Mind you that is going to be time consuming. Having said that I think the genealogists on here are Soappie and Dustykitten.
