I've shown Tigger (cat) that it's raining out the back door, it's raining out the living room window and finally it's raining out the front door. He just smacked me and stomped out the front door pouting. I'm sure he's the reincarnation of a teenage boy!
Lunch cooking and I've made a dozen little sultana cakes while the oven is on. Must remember to check them.
Hope you get your bathroom sorted Summer. I know what you mean about memories, but they will still be in your mind.
Sorry about the job Pink but maybe there is a better one waiting for you after Christmas.
Still haven't vacuumed....0 -
One to raise a smile
A man was walking homealone late one foggy night, when behind him he hears:
BUMP...
BUMP...
BUMP...
Walking faster, he looks back and through the fog he makes out the image of an upright casket banging its way down the middle of the street toward him.BUMP..
BUMP...
BUMP...
Terrified, the man begins to run toward his home, the casket bouncing quickly behind him
FASTER...
FASTER...
BUMP...
BUMP...
BUMP...
He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him.
However, the casket crashes through his door, with the lid of the casket clapping
clappity-BUMP...
clappity-BUMP...
clappity-BUMP...
on his heels, the terrified man runs.Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, the man locks himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps.
With a loud CRASH the casket breaks down the door.
Bumping and clapping toward him.
The man screams and reaches for something, anything, but all he can find is a bottle of cough syrup!
Desperate, he throws the cough syrup at the casket...

Writing out christmas cards
Ebay some more stuff this week,
have already done christmas shopping FOR FREE !!! Everyone's getting a 12 month magazine subscription courtesy of my clubcard deals tokens from tesco !! Hey hey
Venture into the murky world of the teenage boys bedrooms and fumigate, yewck !!0 -
I am looking at my assignment....
hhmmm........
It isn't doing much!
which reminds me, I have two due this week as well.
I went to the Co-op in the village instead of a supermarket miles away. Lots of reduced fruit and veg and good special offers on the other stuff I wanted so actually spent less than I would plus the saving on petrol, and an hour saved.
I want to do a household cashflow projection for the next few months or so, can anyone suggest a good spreadsheet? The MSE budget one isn't right for what I am doing, although it does make scary reading hence the need for cashflow forecast.
This afternoon I must:
Tidy the pantry - and do a list of contents
Sort and put away the clean washing
Iron work clothes for the week instead of ironing one shirt a day
Re-make the beds when the TD finishes
Wash uniforms when the boys get home
This week I must:
Finish and post assignments
Tidy Freezer and list contents
Make or buy a curtain to stop draft from back door
Make another draft excluding snake for the patio door
Get some chicken feed and straw
Dig up the cannnas and fleece the rheums before the next frost
Tidy out the junk room
Finish sorting, shredding or filing the paper mountain'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
AnW's Mum - that's terrible! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But hey, I needed a laugh.
I've done other half of kitchen tops and fronts and tidied my work files into a neater pile. I just dumped them over 2 weeks ago and they've sat there ever since.
Just checked my contract and I am on full pay for up to 6 weeks now that I've been employed over a year - always a silver lining!(Hmmm! Wonder if I could get signed off for another 3 weeks???)
Lunch break now, so sitting eating pasta with home made cheese sauce (DH made it for the first time and is rightly pleased with himself) and a nice frothy coffee. (With feet up!)

I'm really not in the mood to do anything now except curl up and sleep. I need to get some lunch though. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

I'm beginning to think someone doesn't want me to do any housework at the moment..lol. Last week was a write off and it looks like this week is going the same way, as well as majority of next week..aaah!! And my flu and foot still hasn't righted itself.. Can I book my bed for a couple of weeks as I think I might need it soon..
Had a phone call from my friend of 21 years, we've known each other since we both moved to the area and struck up a friendship when we met at a bus stop..Anyway she rang me to ask if I was busy today..so stupid me said no of course I wasn't. Well am I glad I said this as it turns out her sister has been killed in a freak accident. Her sister and husband were out for a meal on Thursday lunchtime and a car ploughed into the pub they were in, at 80mph. The sister was outside having a cigarette and caught the full pelt of everything. Thankfully brother in law didn't get hurt at all. But the side of the side of the pub got totally demolished and Pat sadly got flung from where she was sitting outside. Not sure on the full details but to say you can't make it up is an understatement.. My poor friend is a wreck as Pat was her last living relative. Thankfully she has her new husband to get her through this but because he has to go to work today after having last week off sick, he doesn't want her to be left alone hence where I come in. So I have sorted out D's dinner for tonight, phoned him and told him what is going on, sorted the dogs out, washed up etc.. and am now going to head off into the wild weather to my friends.
Then not long after the phone call I get a phone call from my step brother who has got three days free next week and is now going to fit our new kitchen..ack!! So I spent a good couple of hours this morning ordering it online for delivery on Thursday.. I now have to buy some storage boxes on Wednesday, when D is off work for the day, and pack up my kitchen bits. Still it gives me a great excuse to do a major declutter of everything in there. We are also going to be sitting here in the evenings from Thursday onwards putting together the kitchen units. ACCK!!! I am going to lose my living room..lol. Well at least for a few days..lol. And we haven't even finished decorating the living room yet..ooops!!!
Still at least it will take my mind off of the coming 24th of this month, the 2nd anniversary of mums death, and at least I will have a nice spanking new kitchen come that day. Maybe this was meant to happen so I wouldn't sit and brood..who knows. I think I might finally take a breath at the end of November, then I will be sorting out Christmas..lol. Boy am I glad I managed to get D's main christmas present - a Sat Nav at Aldi..I can't even believe I actually had that much money available this month. Hmmm coincidences are a strange thing..either that or a higher purpose is at work..I don't know!!
So I am somewhere in the ether for the next couple of days/next week etc.. Miss Pigpen may I please have an absence note
