Pigpen I'd add...................and you might think about bullying other children in future...............
Has she been advised to write an apology to him? If not I would refuse until she has been if you aren't going to word it like that.
Oh Matthew update, you know that baby that was probably going to be behind, possibly brain damaged etc, well he's just had his HV check, he's now walking and is well above average for development so far. Stubborness is what's got him through I reckon because he does what he wants when he wants!
FABULOUS news about little Matthew... I hope he continues to thrive his parents and everyone must be delighted... one special little man there!!
No she hasn't been asked to write an apology and I don't think it was bullying as such it was just a group of 9 year olds behaving like they are 9 and wanting to be 'first' .. this is what happens when they take all the competition out of everything and why competitive activities are good.. they release all the energy in 'winning' so don't feel the need to exercise their muscles trying to be 'the best' or 'the winner' in the dinner queue.. more PC !!!!!!£ gone awry. It is a one off incident and unlikely to reoccur I'd say.
The girl injured has a brother in the class with DD3 though and he is a little !!!!!! and if he starts I'll be breaking his nose.. and his parents aren't much better.. I see another fabulous week ahead.
I doubt it is broken anyway.. it is incredibly hard to break a nose.. and DS3 is only weedy.. it is more likely he made it bleed good and proper.. and what can I say? I tell them they are to defend themselves if someone else hurts them and if they hurt him he has every right to exert himself as protection.
I will say, I did not tell him off... I hugged him until he stopped sobbing.. I asked him what happened and we discussed what to do if something like that happens again.. and we concluded punching her in the face was not ideal but she should have stood still so he could punch her in the arm! Then we went shopping for bits for the kitten... and he hugged his bunny.

Sorry thick question alert
Is that real name or MSE name or both?0 -
Pigpen do you need mine because it has not changed?
I thought your DS3 was older, but regardless, she was the one who started hair pulling etc so the little witch should be made to apologise and learn to stand still if she doesn't want her nose thumped in futureI am sure you will do what you feel is best, I'd be inclined to ignore the request for an apology until he gets one for her actions if I was in a bad mood, if in a good mood I would have him apologise and request one back...........
TAG if you want a Chrimbo card with your MSE name on then send that one................:p
Oh his Mam is thrilled, I am going over to see him next week, have not gone with the bugs going round as I don't want to knock him for 6 when he's doing so well, missing my cuddlesand his tantrums :rotfl: he's hilarious when he doesn't get his own way, little determined monster. I'm banished from giving him his Christmas presents early.....because I will get him more......he got them before he was born last year and when he was born.
One day I might be more organised...........

DS3 has been 'advised' to write a letter to broken brat apologising for his behaviour would it be inappropriate of me to have him word it
'I am terribly sorry that my actions resulted in you being injured and I do wish you a speedy recovery. I would be very grateful if in future you did not pull my hair, drag my clothes and push me about with your friends.'
Perfect, except for what Lil_Me said about the bullying bit and is he getting a letter back? Wonder if the pain is making her think about her actions right now???:rolleyes:LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

No flying done, but will have a little potter now, hope to be back later.
Huge hugs to you all :A xx
Hugs Lady Liberty - I wasn't sure what everyone was talking about earlier, but can see you would be pretty worried - I hope it is not what you think it is and that you get sorted out soon - healing thoughts and prayers sent your way...:ALBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

That is just brilliant - sometimes it's just listening to them that works eh... good on you PigPen - and I can see your point about it not being bullying - sometimes we think there is an ulterior motive when really it's just kids being kids - and I agree about the sport thing - how are we expected to win anything, be it football, Olympics, tennis, Nobel peace prize, whatever, if we don't teach our kids to be competitive - the real world is really competitive, job promotions are just one example - I think this nanny society has a lot to answer for... (ok, I'm off the soapbox now..:o )
