Ive had a renewal letter through yesterday for Halifax card care...
Whilst this might not seem strange to some.. the renewal states a credit card I havent actually had (cancelled with Halifax) since february 2007, it shas my old address but new married name (got married this july) and I dont actually remember (and cant imagine why I would) taking out the policy in the first place
I have rang them and cancelled the renewal so that isnt a problem
but is there any way of claiming back the original £35 that I appear to have paid and wouldnt normally have paid and didnt actually know anything about...
Is it similar to the payment protection where you can claim it back?? or do I just forget about it (it was only £35 3 years ago anyway)

When you first open the account, they have options on the application form to tick for it or they give you a year free and then automatically add it each year after this, unless you cancel it.

I haven't seen anything about being able to claim this sort of insurance back but if it is really bothering you, you could always try a letter to the cc company about it.

Hope this helps a little.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0
