    Because the StayWarm tariff is your annual consumption split over twelve equal months. You have already paid last summer and would be paying next summer for some of your winter heating. You will not use one twelfth of your consumption each month over winter - it will be much more. So you will likely use much more than £110 or £131 of energy over each of the next few months.

    Of course, as you (or she, rather,) are on a flat rate tariff this difference will be a little less than usual - you would likely be less liberal with your heating if you were paying per unit!
