Bushmills distillery, can it be done cheaper?

hi,
i'm currently in the process of booking a surprise holiday for me and my mum at the end of january (i've already started praying for good weather!) to dublin and then belfast. the main reason for going to belfast is that my mums favourite whisky is bushmills and i want to take her to the distillery (and probably the giants causeway which is next door). anyway, the woman from the tourist info website said that to get there it costs £18 return on the 252 bus.for two of us its forty pounds, which is quite pricy. (especially considering both our flights over there are costing 20 pounds altogether) does anyone know of any other ways to get there? unfortunately neither of us drives (well my mum does, but not on holiday) so hirring a car is out of the question. thanks for any tips guys!!
....I'd rather have two minutes of wonderful, than a lifetime of nothing special....

    I don't think this is a troll!

Derry has an airport, and is a good deal closer to Bushmills than is Belfast.

Trains in Northern Ireland are cheap. There is a website that gives times and fares: search and you will find it. The nearest railway station is Coleraine (and the ride between Derry and Coleraine offers beautiful views of the coastline). Local buses between Coleraine, Giants' Causeway and Bushmills are very reasonable in price, but not very frequent. So you would need some careful planning.

Alternatively, check out a company called something like Paddy Wagon Tours. They do a mini-bus trip from Belfast that combines all three attractions in a single day.
