  • just wanted to add, if you have insurance for your dog they might pay out towards a consultation. Lots of useful advice on behaviour/training of dogs can be found at www.doggysnaps.com

Which "Pack" would this be? Im sure the Op only mentioned having the ONE dog and last I understood, one dog didn't make a pack.

A dog can not be part of a human "pack" - different species and all that - canine -Homo sapiens - you even start your post by acknowledging this

Was there really any point in your comment? I thought for a moment we had drifted into a Virgin Media forum where people spend more time attacking one another than keeping to the discussion thread - see Forum Etiquette.

Thank you so much for your input.

I saw a documentary on TV not so long ago, they made very clear that a Dog is an animal...and all animals try to protect themselves when in danger.

I think it is cruel to put down EVERY dog that bites, it's in their nature to react when put in those kinds of situations, have you ever thought that you were threatening your Dog?

I have cats, and when i accidentally stepped on her tail she clawed me quite badly(for a cat) and my little kitten drew blood just under my eye when he was playing, yet this behaviour is seen as totally different than dogs because dogs are larger, yet it's still the same principle, my cats love me and i can fall asleep feeling safe that they are not going to try and claw my eye out while i am sleeping.
