Hi, I have had a frozen iPod twice. I don't know if it is the same situation as yours but whatever i pressed didn't do anything. Wouldn't even switch off.

Both times i let the battery run down completely so it was totally dead with nothing showing on the screen, then plugged it in a gave it a good long charge (overnight) and hey presto it worked again perfectly. The second time (about 6 months later) the exact same happened and the exact same actions got it working again.

It has never happened again (over 1 year later)

    Hopw it works for you

  • i've had the same problem before tried switching it on off didn't work ect. so i went on the apple website to see if had a solution. I just had to press the menu button and play/pause at the same time and it switched off and when it came back on was working again.
  • The solution to many of the ipods freezing is in post 2

My ipod mini use to freeze a lot seems to be a recurring problem on many ipods
