Good morning!
I have checked my online bill from E.on and found that I am about £400 in credit!! Can I call E.on up and get that money back and change my direct debit so I only pay for what I use? The cash would really come in handy as I have just started a new job. Or would the money be better left on the account?
Many thanks
NM

Depends on how much you use and whether your last reading was estimated or actual.
You need to be in credit now if you (as most people do) use more energy in winter than over the summer. It depends on your usage, how much credit you need. If £400 is too much, you could ask for some to be refunded or for your DD to be reduced.
Make sure you know how much you are in credit (the £400 is only accurate if based on actual readings) and what your annual usage is before you contact them.0 -
My last bill was done on est, but i have since give them new readings but when i look on line the readings show up as NOT USED FOR BILLING?
.
My DD is @ £116 a month and has been for a bout a year! as I have not really been looking after the bills like I should, but now I am and when I have looked back each DD I have paid has been the same but when my bill arrives the DD more than covers my usage.0 -
OK, but are you taking into account, recent price increases (unless you've fixed)?
Was the estimated reading about right/too high/too low?
Finally, if you calculate your annual usage (based on actual readings) and multiply by current kwh costs (and standing charges if applicable), what is your annual bill likely to be?0
