I got the same letter dated 1 Oct and yesterday (9 Nov) received the letter saying they have renewed my claim (dated 1 Nov). It might depend on how quickly your GP responds? If you are concerned you could check with your GP to see if they have done the report yet.Marsh Samphire0

The average time that people have to wait is about 11/12 weeks.0

My son has just had the result of his renewal claim yesterday and it has taken nine weeks for his.0

As others have already suggested try phoning your G.P and see if they have sent off the report, or try calling the DLA helpline, if you're lucky you should be told by them how your claim is going. If it is just a renewal then you have nothing to worry about as any outstanding monies will be backdated.0

just for a renewal? thats a long time for a renewal
renewal arent treated differently than new claims, its still the same process, and as others have said it can(and usually does)take upto 3 months, they do suggest that if you have heard nothing after about 9 weeks to contact them by phone to see how your claim is progressing0 -
