Hi,
My computer will not boot - get a black screen with Ci.dll error
The computer was originally xp when I bought it but I had the free upgrade to Vista which has been running fine.
I have put the upgrade disc in and tried to do start up repair. It's been running for over 12 hours now and seems to be stuck. Is there any way of quitting the startup repair so that I can get back to the screen to do a system restore?
Fingers crossed
Teresa

Code Integrity Module . dll The file size is 601KB
A Microsoft file in Windows\system32 folder
To quit try ctl-alt-del, or escape. Use the DVD eject button?
Then the reset button.

type chkdsk /f (press enter)when finished type exit (press enter)
reboot off cd and try repair againclick here to achieve nothing!0
