I'm trying to find free historical ftse100 share prices (share prices and not index). Does anyone know where I can obtain them?

I want all of the share prices in the same spreadsheet or text file. So in each row is a date and each column a share price for a particular ftse100 share. It used to be quite easy to find these data files on the net, but i'm not having much luck at the mo.A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

It shouldn't take *too* long to generate this yourself from Yahoo's Historical Prices pages. For each company, you can download a spreadsheet of historical prices in CSV format (which opens in Excel). Then it's just a matter of copy-and-pasting into a single worksheet. A bit boring, yes, but there's quite a lot of value in the end result.0

I was looking for this sort of information as well, and have found that both Yahoo and Google's downloaded CSV data have errors in.
I don't mean that the prices are wrong - not that I could tell anyway - but I notice in processing the spreadsheet data that occasionally entries are provided for days where the market wasn't open (such as in a weekend), and sometimes days are missing.
I've tried redownloading at different times, in case it's related to site loading or something, but to no avail.
Does anyone know of any other, more reliable, sources?
Also, does anyone know of a single web page (or perhaps set of web pages, one per starting letter) giving the same set of daily information for (at a minimum) the last trading day for all UK shares.
The idea obviously is to load historical data when I'm interested in a new share, but use the daily page to update all interested shares's data incrementally rather than reloading all the historical data every time.
Thanks!0
