Income Insurance

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can recommend one or more companies for income insurance. I do not have a mortgage, but work in a fairly volatile industry (e.g. having been made redundant 3 times in 2 years, in the past).
My fiancee and I will be looking to buy a house in the next 6 months, so we'll be getting a mortgage. If anything happened with my job before then, this would cause problems, so I was hoping to get redundancy / income insurance.
Has anyone got any advice or recommendations of reputable companies for this?
Thanks,
Merlin.

Can't make any recommendations, except to read the small print before you sign up for it. The circumstances you describe mean that you might find it very difficult to get cover which is actually useful to you: there are usually restrictions like the cover doesn't apply for the first 6 months, or if you've been made redundant in the previous x months (I think that's right about the last bit, I'm no expert).
It doesn't sound to me as if you could get a policy which would kick in before you want to buy, should the worst happen. And if you can, it's going to cost an arm and a leg.
I hope someone more knowledgeable will come along and confirm or deny my doom and gloom!Signature removed for peace of mind0
