Hi there,
I recently purchased the Roberts Sound 43 (http://www.robertsradio.co.uk/Products/DAB_radios/SOUND_43/index.htm) sound system. No problems with CD playback until today when I popped in a CD and now it won't eject it. (FYI: It has a slot-in drive and not a tray) Have tried resetting the system and holding down the eject button with no joy whatsoever. The Roberts customer service doesn't open till the weekday so was wondering if anyone had any suggestions in the meantime,
Thanks,
Saf

Have you tried using an extraction tool like the one below?0

The only thing you can do is take the cover off and play about with the mechanism. So as its new im afraid youll have to wait for the store to open.:idea:0

Try to put another cd in so it knocks against the one stuck in there while you are pressing the eject button.0

That's a Pioneer slot-loading DVD drive, and I posses one of the same model. See the hole to the left of the eject button? Well you need to poke something long and stiff into that hole - then you'll feel a bit of resistance, but keep pushing and you'll find the disc comes out the further you push.
Not all drives have this hole, but any decent one ought to.Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -

Surely thats not such a good idea - it'll just add insult to injury and probably void the warranty under "abuse"“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -
The op said they have a sound system so I assume its a small hifi, not quite the same as the pioneer you show below.
It may or may not have a little hole to eject the cd

....Have tried resetting the system...
Was that the system reset as desribed in the manual ?
Looking at the manual - it does not appear to have a "Manual Eject Hole"
Looks like you'll have to wait for Roberts CS to open tomorrow morning.
But, if you didn't purchase it from them then you might have take it back to the shop where you got it from for a refund or exchange ? ( Not sure about the CD that's stuck in it though ? )“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -
Thanks for all the replies. I'm afraid it doesn't have that tiny hole so will have to wait for customer services to open up tomorrow (before I resort to using a hammer!)
...thanks once again to all of you for all of your advice and help.
Best,
