A charity run? I raised a lot of money doing a short run a while back. The idea usually puts people off but the aim is to make it short which will open it up to non-sporty people. Maybe something like a 2 mile run? Considering you can walk that in 30 minutes, the pain for many will only last 20 minutes or so... if that!

I did a 10km run (6 miles) as part of Nikes charity event. My workplace sponsored me too which always helps!
