New Zealand

I'm interested in going here in 2010 for maybe 2-3 weeks, is there much sightseeing to do/places to go? I'm looking for a holiday with lots to do & see!

My good friend travelled to New Zealand about 7 years ago for a few months traveling.

He never came back and is now happily married and settled there.

    Says it all i think.

The Rough Guide to New Zealand is a good place to start.

There's plenty to do: skiing, bungy jumping, walking (tramping), bit more walking, great food, amazing scenary, vinyards, more scenary, more fantastic scenary, bit more walking, glo-worm caves, maori cultural things, dolphins, whales, boat trips, kayaking, jet boating, kiwis (the bird and fruit!), plenty of rugby, 4X4 trips, volcanoes, glaciers, helicopter rides, geyzers, bubbling mud, EMPTY beaches................. so not much, really. :D

We spent 3 weeks there and it wasn't enough to do it justice. Oh, don't forget the amazingly friendly people.

New Zealand has so much to offer in such a small country. I would suggest going for about a month. You could include it with a trip through OZ.

Tripadvisor good place to look about ideas where to go and Lonely Planet for ideas of where to go & stay.

For lots of money saving ideas in New Zealand they have a site called KiwiMoneySavers which has information on flight & hotel deals
