Debt Free Today!

Finally after what seems like forever I paid off balances in full on my two credit cards today, my overdraft is clear too and I have a few £ in the bank to cover my January bills and mortgage payments plus the remaining few pressies I need to buy. I am expecting a baby in July so it couldn't have come any sooner and I am delighted. I want to cut my cards up but am having a few problems there though, as they seem like a safety net - aaargh!
But I am a happy bunny today that's for sure.
I'd like to wish you all a very merry christmas and want to say stick with it, it takes a very long time to clear those debts and sometimes it all seems so futile as if the balance never seems to drop, what with interest mounting but you will get there in the end and boy is it a great feeling when you do.

JulesThe ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0 -

well done.
If you are worried about cutting up the cards, why not cut up all but one and put that one away in a drawer so you can get to it when you really need to but it isn't in your purse for everyday temptationMS Stalwart.
