Incapacity benefit query.

When i applied in early October I sent a sicknote for 6 weeks.

Whats the next step they will take ?.Will they get in touch and ask for me to provide an extension sicknote?.And if so,will my benefit payment be affected while they wait for this to arrive ? If not, what will they do ??

Thanks.

I got a reminder -- but it generally arrived a day or two after it had expired (and I'd already obtained a new one and sent it in). The once it expired very close to a payment due date (and didn't arrive in time to be processed) they only paid me up to the expiry date -- and the payment two weeks later was for the couple of missing days on top of the next two weeks.

    Hope that makes sense :rolleyes2

personally i wouldnt wait for a reminder just in case it is overlooked and your payment is delayed. Remember your own dates and send one in before the last one runs out then your sure of a continuous pament

    Hi there

I would make sure anything you send is sent "recorded delivery" so you can track online -via the royal mail site that they have received and signed for it !!
