Remember that £149 return to new york including taxes? Those were the days....
Anyway post here if you've seen any amazing return flight deals recently.
Surely the crunch is throwing up some ace deals! Christmas present is a holiday!

I doubt it. "Taxes, fees and charges" now come to around 220GBP + these days so if you can get a flight under 280, Id consider that a bargain !0

I think you need to read the Travel board a bit more often thrifty ...
I have been to the US twice this year, the first time was with Delta to JFK, can't remember the exact fare but think that was approx £150, and the second with NWA (flying with KLM and Air France) to LAX ... for approx £140!
The deals (loopholes!) are there, you just need to be about on the day that they are found!Gone ... or have I?0 -
was that rtn dmg24?0

Yes (although I would have happily stayed in LA)! You know me, I like my travel bargains ... am off to Prague on Tuesday, flights plus two nights in a five star hotel for the grand total of ... £24!

Have been too busy working to research any bargains recently0 -
Yeah I went to LA and back for £166 with BA all in last month.
Bargains are still out there.0 -
It was actually a little BA combined offer mistake, and was very good, if you log in to ba.com they currently have LON-NYC from £259 rtn which is pretty good when you consider the rise in fuel price over the past 2 years.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

I agree, that is still a good price. I have been trying to find flights for a friend to NZ, and she cannot understand that she will not get the same price as when she last went two years ago. However, in the same conversation she was moaning about the price of petrol!

I think Dmg got onto the Expedia Australia thing, or Jetabroad. Great one that was for some of us. We got return to Vegas for £190 and as the deal had closed on Expedia we jumped over to Jetabroad and pulled the trigger on L.A. for £180 return going 3 weeks after we come back from the Vegas trip. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
