Cut down on spending as much as is possible. When this happens to me, I just stop going out, sometimes a couple of months of puts me back on course. When confronted by a bargain, ask yourself " do I really need it?".
Cut down on monthly outgoings, make a list, see where you can reduce the money flowing out, say by consolidating debt. There are some 5 or6% life of balance credit cards out there, eg Amex, or loans, or overdrafts like A&L, with similar interest rates. Take what steps you can with regard to improving your credit rating, as the fewer cards in use the better, and the higher your credit card limits.

Read Martin's articles on the main site, and good luck.

PS look into making yourself bankrupt, the new rules make it less of a stigma, but think and ask before doing so.
