Free Guinness at Dublin Airport - anyone heard of it?

Hi everyone. First time posting here though have been an avid reader of Martin's emails for a while now.

I am going to Dublin for a family celebration in January and seem to remember hearing something on the radio by Simon Calder about all visitors to Dublin being able to get a free drink of Guinness :beer: on arrival at the airport.

I've searched the net but cant find anything about it. Does anyone else know what I am talking about or am I just imagining things??

well it wasnt happening when i was in dublin earlier in the year unless its a new thing

I think that might just be wishful thinking!

I've certainly never heard of it and I lived in Dublin for a couple of years! I've flown in and out of there several times and have never had so much as a free cup of tea, never mind a Guinness! Oh well, it's worth a try!

if you go on a tour of the guinness factory , your ticket entitles you to a free pint at the end of the tour

It's not really free when you consider what you've just paid for the ticket though! LOL!

That's right, yeah. Free pint of Guinness for everyone in Dublin airport. Just pay €5 for use of the glass.

I've used Dublin airport many times and never seen anything like this. You could be mixing it up with the free pint at the end of the Guinness tour at the factory.
