Barclaycard 9.9%Apr

I'd just transfered my Barclaycard Balance over to Halifax 1, Then phoned to close my Barclaycard ac down. I got transfered to a guy who said they would upgrade from Gold to Platinum (which means nothing, just a different coloured card) BUT they would match Haxifax's offer of 0% on BT and purchases for 9 months and then give me a fixed apr of 9.9% onwards

After nine months with Halifax, Barclaycard said I could call them and get 6 maybe 9 months interest free on any BT back to them.

Hopefully after 9mths there won't be any balance to transfer...but is it worth keeping the account open?

I've been with them 8 years and wonder whether I would benefit from staying with them

Might be worth keeping for the additional benefits you get with barclaycard such as extended warranty and price promise.

Doesn't seem much point closing the account if they are going to give you a good balance transfer offer once your intro offer with Halifax finishes.

i phoned to close my account with barclaycard last week and they didnt even offer me anything to stay! just said yes we can do that and closed it down

good riddance f they dont want to make any money off of me!
