When you say you've not paid it for 8 years, does this mean that the account was closed 8 years ago?
If it was then it should have dropped off.
If it has been left open even though you've not been using it, then my understanding would be that it will stay on your file.

im not quite sure but they keep handing my credit card details onto different lenders, the thing is i thought that after 6 years you could get the information removed altogether does this mean it could be kept on my file for years or could you tell me how long it might stay on my file, or do you think it would be an idea to write to experian credit file company for more information about this, im able now to get credit with a credit card and catalouges but i want this other one removed from my file so if you can help again sscott 55881 thanks joannerb.0 -
You took your time coming back!
You have to request the card to be closed and it will be removed six years after this date. Although the card is not being used it is still technically active.0 -
Guy's, what the OP is saying is that the card was bumped i.e. not paid so when will the default drop off.
Well, the default should drop off 6 years from the date the account was defaulted, correct me if I am wrong but this is what your post is suggesting me?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
