Does anyone know of any software that I could download or at the worst, buy, that is capable of finding a specified word on a web page ? a bit like find and replace on word processor packages but without the replace.
I am getting fed up of being referred to financial sites such as What the papers say because there is a link to a specific share and then having to scroll down checking each line for the share in question. If my eyes have had a bad day, and I miss it on the way down, it's a slow scroll back up to the top.

You can also do a search on Google, and then (where available), click the "Cached" link next to a listing. It will take you to Google's Cached copy of the page, where your search terms that appear in that page are highlighted in different colours. I find this highly useful when searching on Google.

If not searching Google, use Ctrl + F as gizmoleeds suggested.

With Firefox you can also click the "/" key for the search box to temporatily appear (the / key also has the "?" on it which is probably why it's used)
e.g.
to find intel I can just type /intel and it finds it
Obviously it doesn't work if the cursor is in a text box.0
