What isn't fair, is that for those of us who weren't fotunate to get tickets went onto a waiting list. Then you find that you can come onto a site like this and jump the queue. I feel that people should follow the rules, and Harrods are telling people different things.

Surely if 70,000 tickets were available over 9 days most people who wanted a ticket could have got one ??

just got back from harrods, and we weren't asked for id today. so hope whoever you give the tickets to is able to use them, well done you for giving them away and not selling them.
  • Even though there were 70, 000 tickets, there is still a waiting list. Don't forget a lot of the tickets will have gone abroad for tourists who are coming over for the Christmas Holidays. I agree with you that people who sell them on ebay are taking the biscuit, but I tried to do the right thing by going onto a waiting list

I looked on ebay and once again people are selling them!

Call me witch but i reported some listings to eBay :o I'm not having a bath in money too, but don't like the idea to make a money from free stuff.
  • I agree with everyone who has mentioned that it is WRONG to sell these tickets on ebay.

I was lucky enough to book tickets for my family for this weekend, but due to unexpected family problems, we found ourselves unable to go.

I phoned Harrods and cancelled our booking, but to be honest the woman on the phone was so rude I almost wished I hadn't bothered. However I do know that I did the right thing, and I'm happy to think that our tickets went to another family.

What I must add is that the tickets were bookable over the internet. Although there were restrictions made on the number of tickets per booking that could be made, there were NO restrictions as to the number of bookings that could be submitted.

Although there were lots of tickets released I am sure that many money-grabbers will have booked up lots of popular times fully intending to sell them on Ebay at a later date.

Harrods should check ID, but they should also amend their booking processes to try to detect multiple bookings. Hopefully parents wouldn't then need to buy tickets through Ebay as there would be enough to go around. Unfortunately I don't think that Harrods will really care who turns up, genuine bookers, buyers or tourists, as long as there are people in the store they stand a chance of selling their wares!
  • I emailed Harrods to let them know I wouldn't be able to use mine and got a really nice email back. It thanked me and said that those on the waiting list would be very happy.
