I didnt know that......until recently when my missus phoned them up cos her points balance as less than she thought.
Is it after a year or so?
PS Lady on the phone re-instated them :T so Mrs Frog went out and spent the lot in one go

There is nothing on the website about this (ie needing to be spent by a certain date) BUT Boots T&Cs do say that the Advantage Point Cards belong to Boots and they will withdraw them at any time...always worth phoning and asking.
How did this come about?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Dunno!!! Dont usually spend Nectar or Clubcard points in the shop as theyre usually worth more in deals......likewise the missus hadnt spent any of the points accumulated online and in shop over the past couple of years or so.
Anyway, they got deleted off as the CS rep said they expire after a certain time period.....but goodwill she put them back on.....it was a good few quid so not peanuts.
Anyone else had this happen?illegitimi non carborundum0 -

The only points that can expire after a year AFAIK are those from online orders that aren't collected. If you receive points from online orders, you collect them by going instore and placing your advantage card in one of the pink and white Advantage Card machines, which then automatically updates your points balance. The points from online orders remain on your account for collection for 12 months, if you don't collect them during this time they expire. HTH:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

Theye shouldn't expire if they have been collected froggitt, maybe CS were just saying that that is how certain points expireThere have been problems recently with some points from online orders not being available to collect, and peeps have had to contact CS to get them added on manually. I had to do this with 2 online orders last month, so maybe this is what happened with your wife. Boots changed their website recently and there seems to have been numerous technical problems along the way:rolleyes: Thankfully this issue seems to have resolved itself though going by the lack of posts about this problem on the boots board recently. Glad your wife got her points sorted though

sorry, bit unlcear here, are you talking about the receipts and the vouchers on the receipts not being added as they are expired? or are you talking about them vanishing from the actual card account?
Am asking as I have 9970 points and am saving for the GHD set which is around 12500 points, I need more time!!0 -
I *think" as claire says, its buying stuff online, getting points for it, but not claiming the points using the machine in the shop......wait a year to claim them and theyre gone......claim them inside the year and theyre yours for ever to save up for your GHDs.
However I saw nothing on the Boots site to confirm this.....and nothing about any expiry.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

Jennie the only points that expire at boots are those from online orders which remain uncollected 12 months after they were available to collect IYSWIM. If your points are already on your card then they won't expire. Just out of curiosity what is the GHD set you are saving for, as i thought boots only sold the 3 types of straighteners individually?:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
Oh gawd.......here we go.......may as well now change the title to "The Official GHD thread".illegitimi non carborundum0
