  • Aw thanks everyone. :xmassign:
  • Congrats geekgirl. I once was in debt back in 1985 to the tune of £2,000 (probably £12,000 in todays money). I worked my way out of it & have gone on to become quite frugal, buy a house, pay off the mortgage VERY early & build a little nest egg of savings. Will turn 37 yrs old in 6 days time. When I paid off my debt, the exceptionally good thing about it was it has made me determined to never use a credit card, never have a loan & I now work on the basis of "it I dont have the cash for it, I dont have it". If my washing machine breaks, I WILL hand wash until I have the cash.
I wish you well in your excellent debt free life now!!!

No iron balls here but I believe it stands for Payment Protection Insurance.

  • Thank you JCL! Now I feel stupid!

I know I have another stupid question but I cannot fully remember it. It was an advert on TV about a government loophole where somoene owing more than £15000 can do this thing ? and some of their debt be removed and it all be cleared in 5 years.
